Webinar: Building with Mycelium: Emerging Opportunities for Sustainable Architecture with RAIC

How can mycelium contribute to the future of regenerative and low-carbon architecture?
On October 27, 2026, ALL CAPS will be part of an online webinar hosted by the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC), exploring mycelium as an emerging bio-based material and its potential applications in architecture and construction.
Featuring Felipe Martin and Tatiana von Rheinbaben of ALL CAPS, alongside fellow speaker Nina Flaitz, the introductory webinar will examine fungal systems, current research, fabrication methods, and the opportunities and challenges of integrating mycelium into future building materials.
Participants will explore how nature-based innovation, Indigenous perspectives on living systems, and interdisciplinary research are shaping sustainable material practices. The session will also address the current limitations of mycelium-based materials, including the technical, regulatory, and industry considerations involved in scaling their use within architectural practice.
