Welcome to Project Mush Hub

Exploring mycelium through education, experience, and innovation.

At ALL CAPS, projects are living experiments. Some are courses. Some are residencies. Some are artistic investigations.
All are rooted in fungi as ecological intelligence.

Educational Projects

Structured learning programs exploring fungi across science, design, and systems thinking.

Fungal Architecture Course

An experimental course investigating mycelium as a bio-based construction material and design system.

Participants explore:

  • Fungal biology and structural properties

  • Mycelium composites

  • Regenerative material futures

  • Architecture beyond extraction

Designed for architects, designers, researchers, and future-focused builders.

Developments in Mycelium Applications (DMA)

An interdisciplinary course examining mycelium across food, materials, technology, and entrepreneurship.

DMA brings together scientists, innovators, and practitioners to explore applied fungal systems and sustainable industry models.

Topics include:

  • Mycorrhizal ecology

  • Planetary health

  • Material innovation

  • Business models for mycelium ventures

Mushroom Explorers

After-School Program (9 Weeks)

By All Caps Farm

A 9-week hands-on learning program for 1st–4th graders, introducing children to the science of mushrooms through exploration and play.

Students learn:

  • How fungi grow

  • The role of mycelium in ecosystems

  • Basic cultivation techniques

  • Ecological responsibility

We believe ecological literacy starts young.

Immersive Experiences

Living, learning, and experimenting with fungi on the land.

Mushroom Residency

A land-based residency for artists, architects, researchers, chefs, and interdisciplinary thinkers.

Residents:

  • Live on-site at the farm

  • Engage in applied mycelium experimentation

  • Develop independent or collaborative projects

  • Contribute to the evolving Mush Hub ecosystem.

  • 2–3 Weeks Immersion

Art & Mycology Projects

Research & Creative Exploration. Expanding what fungi can do.

MycoAtlas

An ongoing artistic and research initiative documenting fungi as ecological memory, cultural archive, and living medium.

Led in collaboration with various partners, MycoAtlas bridges art, science, and land-based practice.

The project explores:

  • Fungi as narrative

  • Mycelium as infrastructure

  • Ecological storytelling

  • Exhibition and gallery collaborations

The Mycobindery

Collaboration with artists like Luis Figeroa and the Mexican
“Museum of Living Paper”

Sculptures made of paper & fungi to explore the repurposing of
material associated with transformation & evoke a meeting of decay and new life.
