Black Pearl

The Black Pearl – also known as Shimofuri – mushrooms are a hybrid between Asian and European oyster mushrooms. They look like King Oyster mushrooms and have a similar meaty taste and culinary application (see King Oyster description).  Like other Oyster varieties, Black Pearls contain potassium, antioxidants, protein, folate, and vitamins, including vitamin B6, which helps break down proteins, carbohydrates and fats while supporting the immune system.
